Meia Praia

The extensive Meia Praia beach sand bar is situated East of Lagos, while to the West - from Dona Ana Beach to Porto de Mós - we can find the famous caves, caverns and rock formations of the Algarve - that can be explored all year long by kayak and SUP. The ancestral connection that the Algarve has to the sea justifies, by it self, the importance of the nautical sports in the Region's leisure activities. Whether navigating with the wind blowing or gliding with the waves, the attractions are many for the ones that are tuned with the sea. Even the submerged grounds of Lagos are favourable to scuba diving, due to its clean waters.

In most of the more known beaches there are sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, Stand Up Paddling and surfing equipments available to rent.
The more advanced visitors are able to adventure themselves in the water safely, while the beginners have at their disposal schools and instructors ready to help improve their skills and initiate exciting adventures.
Lagos is one of the top destinations worldwide to pratice water sports at sea, whether is it for leisure, training or competitions, all year long.
